TEACHING MUSIC IN THE GLOBAL CHURCH
Christian music worship leaders have the responsibility of equipping musicians to strive for excellence as they serve the Lord with their art. In so doing, they help produce lifelong worshippers in their churches. This chapter seeks to help music leaders think biblically and practically about the basis for their ministry, as well as how they might best raise up future music leaders while also instilling a proper culture of musical worship in local congregations.

SONGS OF THE SOUL: WHY CHRISTIANS SING
This episode guides our understanding of the theology behind singing by answering the following questions: Why did God design and command us to sing? Can you explain why it's important to listen to and sing music that is biblically sound? Why is congregational singing so important for believers? For someone who doesn't enjoy singing, how can they grow to love it? And how do we align our hearts with the words coming out of our mouths so we can offer sincere worship?

Who we are as professionals stems from who we are as individuals; our core beliefs color who we are in professional settings. Conversely, our communities shape us, contextualize our roles, and give meaning to our work. This session will include the experiences of the three presenters as they discuss their chosen paths, the importance of building community, and serving the field in a way that is fulfilling and congruent with each individual’s goals and values.
